Specialization: Fibre art/Mixed Media

In my series of work I am working on the theme ‘Journey’ – as a woman, a mother, a wife, a teacher and a member of the wider community.

Primarily weaving in collected plant fibres and recycled materials, I am creating a mixture of basket forms, paintings and prints which connect the theme of journey – literally and metaphorically.

Exploring the landscape from above...

Inspired by Brooms Head and the Sandon River, N.S.W.

The landscape from the air is incredibly beautiful in its intricacy of line, colour and texture. I have been exploring these themes through the use of mixed media and in created etched prints. I've also been working on creating sculptural basket forms to make connections with these landscapes.
