Eufalia Cristina Paz de Almeida

Specialisation: Mixed Media
I am passionate about traveling which is reflected in these artworks that speak of my overseas experiences. Negotiating these new territories challenges and empowers, pushes the boundaries of comfort zones and immerses one in each peculiar culture. My inspirations come from the memories, photographs and feelings I experience in each journey. Mixed media is important to the artworks because the surfaces, textures and media chosen enhance the meaning of the works and the stories of these journeys. In my mind these works act as a travel diary or journals of my experiences.

My work proposal: Mixed media and photo montage
Artists I have been researching for my BEYOND art works:

David Hockney is an english painter, draughtsman, printmaker, stage designer and photographer, who is based in Bridlington, Yorkshire, although he also maintains a base in London. An important contributor to the Pop art movement of the 1960s, he is considered one of the most influential British artists of the twentieth century works with photo montage as well, cropping the photos and mounting that back together. He's work looks very alike mine montages ;)
